Easiest Way to Remove Chlorine from Singapore Tap Water (Dechlorinator)

Over the years, growers often asked us whether tap water was bad for gardening and farming.
In short, long term use of tap water is not good for the soil.

The reason is because of chlorine that is present in tap water (Yes, Singapore tap water contains chlorine).
While chlorine is added to tap water to ensure that to make it safer for human to drink, long term use of chlorinated water will kill and reduce the microbes count in soil in the long term.
To have a healthy soil, the first thing is that you need to remove chlorine from tap water!

While some growers can leave their tap water in watering can overnight (minimum 24 hours, sometimes require more than 24 hours to remove totally) to dissipate chlorine, it can be more difficult if you need more water in a short time (like during hot weather and your soil is drying out), or do not have ability to collect rainwater that frequently since you might be busy working in office during the day time when it rains.

The fastest way, and affordable way to do it is to use a Garden Dechlorinator when you attached to your tap in the toilet (HDB, Apartment, Condo), or in an outdoor tap (Landed Property).
Once it attached it to your tap, turn it on, water that flows out has chlorine removed!

We have tested this product at The Living Centre and has good results from it.
