This basic course is the first of the 3 Level Series of Our Indoor High Tech Farming Course

 

During this 7 Hours comprehensive course,  you will learn the following topics and skills:

• Module 1: Foundations of Indoor Farming

  • Describe principles of High Tech Indoor Farming
  • List advantages of High Tech Indoor farming and using of smart solutions

  Module 2: Types of High Tech Indoor Farm Systems

  • List common types of indoor farms
  • Explain key differences among indoor farms, including technology differences

   Module 3: Indoor Light Smart Solutions

  • List types of indoor lights and their suitability for indoor farming
  • Explain light distribution and effect on crop growth
  • Explain light units and daily light integral
  • Describe how to measure light for crops

  Module 4: Growing Substrates

  • Describe different types of growing substrates for indoor farming
  • Explain advantages based on types of growing substrates for indoor farming

    Module 5: Small / Mid Scale Set Up of Indoor Farming

  • Describe different types of set up for indoor farming
  • Explain advantages and disadvantages of each type of set up

This Training is Suitable for:

• Small Scale Home Growers (e.g. home growers) who wish to understand deeper about indoor farming and use of suitable LED lights at home
• Greenhouse growers who wish to explore deeper into indoor farming
• Commercial growers who wish to deepen their knowledge of indoor farming
• Researchers (Farming)
• Other Persons intending to enter the Agricultural industry
• Other Persons interested in indoor farming

 

 Prerequisities

• Diploma or A Levels, or Degree, Masters qualifications and Above

  

 After you have completed this Basic Level Course, you have met the prerequisites to progress to our Intermediate and Advanced Level Training which will take place about 1 to 2 months after the basic level course (see progression chart below). The course fees for the Intermediate and Advanced Course will be announced at a later date.

                       

 

 

 

Trainer:

Faith is the Founder of The Living Centre, and is professionally trained in Nutritional Farming in Australia as well as High Tech farming from Netherlands (HAS University of Applied Sciences). With expert knowledge in both Soil-Based and Soil-less Agriculture, she also lead the first series of Urban Farming SkillsFuture courses supported by SkillsFuture Singapore. Besides providing professional training in hydroponics Singapore to the public, local university and lecturers from polytechnics, she also provides consultancy to commercial hydroponic farms.  Her belief in wholistic living is based on 2 fundamental aspects of Human Health: Nutritional Health from growing and consuming great quality agricultural crops, and Emotional Health through emotional wellness and balance. 

She has been invited as a key speaker at key gardening and edible farming events, including "Community Garden Festival", "Gardeners'Day Out" organised by Nparks Singapore. Faith believes in changing lives through imparting skills and knowledge to local growers in farms and gardening community. She is also an certified advanced practitioner in EFT (EFTi) and Matrix Reimprinting (EFTMR)

   #All Singaporeans aged 25 and above can use their $500 SkillsFuture Credit from the government to pay for a wide range of approved skills-related courses. You can use SkillsFuture credit to pay for up to the full course fee if you have enough credit in your SkillsFuture credit account.  If you do not have enough SkillsFuture Credits, you can pay the balance via cash on actual day of class.
   Please register for the course and select payment mode as "Using My SkillsFuture Credit".

2. For individuals sent by company / organisations to attend training

   The procedures for your company payment will be emailed to you.
