This advanced  course is the 3rd of the 3 Level Series of Our Indoor High Tech Farming Course

 

During this 7 Hours comprehensive course,  you will learn the following topics and skills:

Module 1: Types of Large Scale High Tech Indoor Farm Systems
• Explain key principles of large scale indoor farms
• Explain importance of business sustainability

Module 2: Calculate Cost of Set up and maintain an Indoor Farm
• Describe types of set up costs
• Describe types of maintainence costing
• Explain investment costs and when can the business break even

Module 3: Crop Varieties
• List crop varieties suitable for indoor farming
• Determine crop yield
• Determine crop schedule

Module 3: Flexibility of Systems Based on Market Demand
• Explain how your indoor farming system can be adapted based on crop varieties demand changes

Module 4: Packaging Materials
• Describe suitable packaging materials for distribution of crops

Module 5: Marketing of Indoor Farm Produce
• Determine marketing channels
• Explains types of distribution channels
• Explain differences between distribution channels

 Prerequisities

• Already complete the High Tech Indoor Farming (Basic, and Intermediate Level) course by The Living Centre

 

                       

Trainer:

Faith is the Founder of The Living Centre, and is professionally trained in Nutritional Farming in Australia as well as High Tech farming from Netherlands (HAS University of Applied Sciences). With expert knowledge in both Soil-Based and Soil-less Agriculture, she also lead the first series of Urban Farming SkillsFuture courses supported by SkillsFuture Singapore. Besides providing professional training in hydroponics to the public and local university, she also provides consultancy to commercial hydroponic farms.

She has been invited as a key speaker at key gardening and edible farming events, including "Community Garden Festival", "Gardeners'Day Out" organised by Nparks Singapore. Faith believes in changing lives through imparting skills and knowledge to local growers in farms and gardening community.

If you do not have enough SkillsFuture Credits, you can pay the balance via cash on actual day of class.
