Flowers of xiao bai Cai plants are bisexual and are able to form seed pods.  The color of Xiao Bai Cai flowers is pale yellow and can grow up to 1cm in length. However, the chances of cross pollination is high in a home garden and seed purity cannot be guaranteed. Seed purity is very important in commercial farming, and therefore, great care has been taken on commercial seed farms to minimize chances of cross pollination. That is why it is important to buy seeds from reputable companies.

They grow well on fertile well-drained soil under good sun conditions, uniform planting space of 12 to 15 cm is preferred to avoid long thin stems.
